I know this might not seem so "off-the-wall" to most, but a dog show that has been around since 1877 deserves at least a mention. And come on, anyone who gets snotty about the breed of their dog is bizarre in my book. Nonetheless, this dog show is second only to the Kentucky Derby as the "oldest continuous" sporting event in America. Over 2,500 dogs are entered to compete for best in their breed, which include sporting dogs, hounds, working dogs and terriers. This is an annual February event, which costs $31 per day or $52 for the entire two-day event.
