Przystanek Woodstock Video
The spirit of Woodstock is alive and kicking in..........wait for it.............Poland!
Each August the demure town of Kostrzyn, 100 kilometres south of Berlin on the Polish-German border, kicks off its sensible shoes and plays host to Przystanek Woodstock - Europe's biggest free open air festival - for two days.
Since its beginnings in 1995, hundreds of thousands of festival-goers have attended to re-kindle a little of the "love, friendship and music" ethos of Woodstock 1969. I mean, why wouldn't you?
Bands play for expenses and the experience whilst all monies raised go towards local charities - can't argue with that!
Water fights are a given!
