Ladies and gentlemen, start your ducks!

Up to 7,000 ducks make a break for it each October in the annual Tübingen Duck Race. Not ducks of the feathered variety you must understand, rather plastic and yellow — of the buth-tub species.

Thousands line the course which runs from Alleenbrücke to the finishing line at Neckarbrücke bridge. The flag drops at 2 pm but those looking to rent a duck need to be registered and at the starting line by 1 pm.
