Joel Pollack

Joel Pollak is a writer and actor based in Cape Town, South Africa. Born in Johannesburg, he grew up in Chicago and went to Harvard, where he studied with Cornel West and acted under Liz Swados. His travels since then have included Alaska, the Middle East, and southern Africa. Currently working as a freelance journalist, he hopes one day to write and produce a movie based on his family's history in late-1940s Johannesburg.
