Bjorn Svensson

After completing a photographic course in Sweden in 1987 I left for Asia for the first time. Since then I have spent 10 years travelling and working in the region with a few shorter spells in Africa and the Middle East.

I have found that the continent of Asia provides me with everything I need of the bizarre, shocking, outrageous and fantastic. A bit of food-poisoning and some bedbugs every now and then is a small price to pay in order to obtain these truly jaw-dropping experiences that I need for my personal inner peace and harmony.

I'm currently based in the capital of Laos, Vientiane, but spend a lot of my time going to or from places in Laos and elsewhere in Asia. As a Photojournalist my work consists of contributions to various Travel magazines, News photography, Projects for NGO's and International organizations and also some purely Commercial photography.
