Charles Shilliday

Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, IM Image Management offers a wide range of photographic services, using both film and digital cameras, including: magazine features, motion picture stills, portraits for personal and corporate clients, tourism and travel landscapes, special event coverage, as well as the creation of original photographic artwork for print and web-based design elements.

Creative Director, Charles Shilliday has been working in the fields of photography, art and design for over 15 years. As a freelance photographer, his images have appeared in such publications as Chatelaine, Strut, Style Manitoba, Ciao!, and the recent Eaton's history, A Store Like No Other, published by Great Plains Publications. He has also worked as the photographer for the National Screen Institute's Film Exchange in 2004 and again in 2005.

Charles has shot film stills for motion picture projects ranging from the award-winning documentary, The Notorious Helen Armstrong, the upcoming feature-length documentary, Appassionata: The Extraordinary Life & Music of Sonia Eckhardt-Gramatté, to the art house short film projects Tellum and The Sex of Self-Hatred. He brings a genuine enthusiasm for motion pictures to his work as a photographer and plans to expand these services to the Canadian film and television industry.

Working as an independent curator, Charles recently completed an exhibition entitled Latitudes, featuring eleven Canadian visual artists, which was mounted in Belgrade, Serbia & Montenegro.

Charles has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University in Montréal and has developed and exhibited numerous art projects, including Mask, a photographic installation in the pages of the Winnipeg Free Press, three installments of his ongoing photo-based project, Myth America, as well as an experimental video, Man Without a Movie Camera.

Charles Shilliday's familiarity with both the artistic and commercial aspects of photographic production, makes IM Image Management ideally suited to the differing requirements of each job and client.
