For a fortnight each October, the city of Glasgow plays host to the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival, in celebration of World Mental Health Day.

The festival aims to explore meaning and myth in relation to mental health, the history of asylum and the history of rights, through to current concepts of recovery and well-being.

Dozens of events will be held across the city and beyond, including documentaries, movies, drama, music, visual arts, testimony, debate and research and creative and media workshops.
