"We have a lot of events here all year long," Mark Soifer says, "so I thought we should have a weekend celebrating quiet for a change." The annual Quiet Festival kicks off every November with a "Yawn Along," where upwards of 50 people gather to yawn along to the tune of "Beautiful Dreamer." Other attractions include silent movies, mimes, and the world's only signing choir.
