What began as a recycling effort following the devastating effects of Cyclone Tracy on Darwin on Christmas Eve of 1974, has turned into one of Australia's best loved events. The annual Beer Can Regatta held in Darwin attracts thousands of visitors each year to witness the ingenuity behind some of the least sea-worthy vessels ever to leave land. Check out the vid if you beer can handle it - sorry!
