This is the head honcho of the various puppetry events around the nation, hosted by the Puppeteers of America, the oldest puppetry organization in the country, which was founded in 1937. Please make note: the festival occurs during the summer of every odd year. But have no fear string-twitchers, there are many regional festivals to choose from, which are listed online. Registration for the national event is $350 for nonmembers and $305 for members. Daily tickets will be sold for about $75.
