The Green Film Festival in Seoul (GFFIS) is the first film festival in Korea to highlight environmental issues.
First established in 2004 by the Korea Green Foundation, the GFFIS is a festival that seeks to share the hope for a better world where everyone can live in harmony with the environment and nature. Through cinema, the festival hopes to promote ideas of environmental protection and respect and to encourage public awareness and action for positive change.
The GFFIS is an annual event with one international competition among other non-competitive sections.
