Penn's Store, the oldest country store in America, holds the Great Outhouse Blowout and Race in Gravel Switch each fall. The event was started when the store, previously potty deprived, celebrated the installation of an outhouse for customer use in 1992. The store still doesn't have indoor plumbing.
