Every year, SnowScreen kicks off the NSI FilmExchange Canadian Film Festival at the beginning of March. It's set up at the Forks in Winnipeg and hundreds of Winnipeggers pile on the thermals and head to SnowScreen to watch animated short films.
It's a perfect winter event to celebrate Canadian film. Under the starry sky, beside the banks of the historic Red and Assiniboine Rivers, guests slurp hot chocolate, get comfy on the hay bales and stay warm around the fire pits despite the sub zero temperatures.
