Eros Fest NW is one of the few festivals all about sex. Not seedy, creepy sex (Patpong-district-Bangkok sex with chickens and ping-pong balls), but distinctively a festival which seeks to open channels for the curious, as well as entertain the sexually adventurous and the outright bold. This is a party of talented, learned and esteemed artists, dancers, teachers, and culinary specialists. Edgy but tasteful - with opportunities to explore, play, and participate as fully desired without pressure or judgment.
The festival invites everyone to participate, whether straight, gay, or somewhere in-between; whether kinky or vanilla, as well as people with disabilities ("other-enabled"). Eroticism is different for everyone, and Eros Fest NW celebrates it all!
Performance Art - Featured acts include Freddy Zental Weaver of Chicago; The San Francisco-based Tantric Circus; and local artists such as Wanderlust Circus; the amazing belly dancer Nagasita; the world-acclaimed fire performance artist Cherry; Pole artist Blazzer; and many more. These acts will excite, challenge, and push you, if not to the edge of your seat, certainly to the edge of your boundaries.
Visual Art - A juried exhibit of 116 pieces of erotic art from around the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Workshops - Four distinct workshop tracts cover erotic art, sacred sexuality, skill building, and movement. Learn everything from "Secrets of the Kama Sutra," to "Giving and Receiving Exquisite Oral Sex." Mix and match - participate or watch and learn - your choice.
Dance - Participate in the cutting edge variation on ecstatic dance, called Desire in Motion. Let Portland and San Francisco's DJ's immerse you in sensual sounds while you explore the power of movement, as the rhythm caresses your inhibitions away. Participants wishing to express themselves are invited to attend Sunday night's Seven Veils Temple Dance, an "open-stage" exotic dance event emphasizing respect, honor, and celebration, rather than purely sexual suggestion (no cameras allowed).
Culinary Delights - Lapping chocolate or whipped cream from your lover's body, hand-feeding your partner the perfect strawberry, dining on tempting treats arrayed around a nude God or Goddess, being served by beautiful men and women clad only in body paint. Eros Fest NW offers up a tasty treat for the palette, the libido, and the soul.
Vendors - A chance to look at the latest toys: try on a bit of leather or lace. Maybe you have been afraid to pick up that whip or try out that paddle that is crying out for your attention. Now is the time, you are in the company of like-minded folk.
Eros Fest NW is a natural for Portland, with the largest number of strip clubs per capita on one hand, alongside a community of well-known teachers, facilitators, and experts on sacred sensuality. The founders' vision is to unite the two in celebration of how both add to the richness of our lives and community.
