The East Coast Surfing Championships Beach Sports Festival is centered around the world's second-oldest continuously-run surfing contest. Hundreds of amateur and professional surfers annually make the pilgrimage to this East Coast surfing mecca to compete, including many of the top-ranked women's and men's surfers vying for amateur circuit points, for the pro cash purse, or simply for the love of the sport.

No matter their age, from under 10 super groms, to menehunes to the over-70 grand legends, all ECSC competitors surf for a coveted spot in ECSC history.

As it nears the half-century mark in surfing, ECSC has evolved over the years into more than just a weekend surfing contest. It has grown into four days of beach sports, sights and sounds. Annually recognized as a "Top 20 Event of the Southeast", ECSC is truly the great American beach festival.

Not to a mention surf manufacturer's "Vendor's Village," the famous Miss ECSC Swimsuit Pageant, food and drink concessions, free, live musical entertainment from national recording artists and local favorite bands performing on a huge beach stage.
