Daffodil 200 Bed Race

It's hard to believe the annual August Puyallup bed race has only been in existence since 1985. The memories are so thick in my head, I guess it just seems like an eternity. Actually, I've never been to the race. Beds and racing just don't work for me. But it does for dozens of dreamers who compete to celebrate this great American pastime.
Although a team of five can cut down the entry fee per person, it's still a whopping $200 just for a chance to win a lame-ass trophy. But if you're up Puyallup's way and you've got cash burning a whole in your pocket, pull up a bed and get your motor running. If you don't have your own bed balanced on wheels, one can be made available -- for a price, of course.
