A Little About Us

If you have a taste for the bizarre, an interest in foreign customs or are just plain curious as to what gets celebrated in far away lands, we've got the inside deal from dozens of writers and photographers who've experienced a wide range of fascinating festivals and events first hand.

From downing a stein at Oktoberfest to cheese rolling in Gloucestershire to dancing in the streets in Berlin, our aim is to provide the travellers' perspective, warts and all.

Hopefully we'll give you a taste for an event a bit on the whens and wheres and provide you with the neccessary tools to book accommodation, flights and other travel services online. At the very least we hope you get a kick out of one or two of the festivals we feature and click away with a smile on your face.

What we're really aiming at, is to provide a channel for quality festival focused travel writing and travel photography on the web. Not so much an, "I went here and saw this then had an egg sandwich" type experience. More a, "I was swept up in a crowd of ten thousand revelers, horns blew and champagne flowed" kinda thing, with a touch of history and culture added to the mix.

So a little about us. Well, I won't bore you too much, but for those of you out there with too much time on your hands you can read my bio - every writer and photographer gets one. Needless to say I enjoy travelling, writing, photography and luckily I'm a web developer by trade. But enough about me, although I will provide an article from time to time, 2camels aims to provide articles and galleries from a great variety of writers and photographers both amateur and professional but above all with a love of festivals, events and travelling.
